Project Support: Power Supply at MVU

Donations needed to run generator MVU, located as it is in rural Cambodia, does not have access to a constant power supply. Power needs are met by the use of a 60KVA generator run by diesel fuel, an extremely expensive undertaking. Fuel prices are as expensive in Cambodia as they are in other parts of the world and MVU is constantly in need of funds to buy fuel to run the generator. Specific donations for this purpose would be greatly appreciated and can be made directly to ACF through our online payment system. The cost of the present intermittent supply of power for MVU is about $40US per day. Biodiesel Project

Project Support: Flood Bond Project

The Main Campus of MVU is located in a flood plain in close proximity to the right bank of the Chou River. The University has been subject to yearly flooding caused by the Mekong River floods, though in the last three years flooding has not occurred owing to drought conditions in the region. The flooding not only causes damage to buildings and the environment but also disruption to the University
